PROsumer.NET Final Event - major European Consumer Goods Innovation Showcase, 27-28 May 2013, Brussels - Registration is open

After 2 years of expert networking, surveying and roadmapping the PROsumer.NET project, supporting the European Consumer Goods Research Initiative, will showcase its final results at a large-scale public conference on 27-28 May in Brussels.

PROsumer.NET Spanish national dissemination event at CVIDA general assembly, 24 May 2013, Valencia

On 24^th May the Institute of Biomechanics of Valencia (IBV) will organize a PROsumer.NET dissemination event. In the event titled “PROsumer.NET Project: The Future of the European Consumer Good Industry”, objectives and main results of PROsumer.NET project will be presented. Additionally, the event includes the presentation and discussion of the opportunities offered by Horizon2020, the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, for consumer goods sector. PROsumer.NET Italian National Dissemination Event, 13 May 2013, Milano

PROsumer.NET organised 2nd innovation policy workshop

On 19th February the PROsumer.NET project organised the 2nd Innovation Policy Workshop involving some 35 consumer innovation and policy experts from across Europe. During the workshop the PROsumer.NET Future Scenarios, Innovation Action Plan and related Policy Recommendations were presented and discussed and additional input was collected.

The final policy recommendations will be presented at the final PROsumer.NET conference in late May and will be made available on this website.

PROsumer.NET successfully organised the 2nd round of SRT workshops

In late October, early November the project organized its second round of expert workshops with meetings taking place:

- on 23 October in Denkendorf (near Stuttgart), Germany hosted by DITF-MR

- on 30 October in Elda (near Alicante), Spain hosted by INESCOP

- on 31 October in Valencia, Spain hosted by IBV

- on 5 November in Milan, Italy hosted by CNR-ITIA.

The purpose of these workshops was the validation of the identified key innovation trends and technology drivers in the European design-based consumer goods industry and the collection of elements to build a limited number of future scenarios.

PROsumer.NET organises FP7 brokerage event and 2nd project coordinators workshop

On 17^th September the project organised a project brokerage event for FP7 topics dealing with consumer goods related research topics. Over 50 participants from the various consumer goods sectors covered by PROsumer.NET atended the meeting. During the morning session the relevant FP7 topics from the 2013 call were introduced by EC officials and 12 concrete project ideas were presented by the organisations wishing to submit them. A Q&A session and a networking lunch provided ample opportunities for project partner search.

In the afternoon of the same day the 2nd meeting between coordinators of running EU projects in the field of consumer goods was held to discuss clustering and joint dissemination actions between the various projects. As a result of the 1st such meeting held in February 2012 several joint dissemination actions were implemented. In the 2nd meeting the results of these actions were discussed and future joint actions were agreed.

PROsumer.NET Mid-term Public Seminar on 4th July 2012 in Brussels

On 4th July PROsumer.NET organises its public mid-term seminar Brussels. The event starting at 11.00 a.m. will consist of 3 parts

- an opening session summarising the results of the first year work of the project

- a keynote session dedicated to innovation in the consumer goods retail sector and their impact on developments in the manufacturing sector

- a panel discussion on strategies and actions to be taken by industry-driven networks and policy makers to harness the retail sector to bring European research results faster to market

The seminar is adressed to industry and research experts from the consumer goods and retail sectors as well as policy makers. Attendance in the seminar is free of charge.
